Why Lumecase
Work that is explained before it starts.
A clear scope, a defined price, and a written record when the watch is returned. These are the straightforward things we do consistently.

What you can count on
Assessment before any charge
We look at the watch and tell you what we find. The quote follows the inspection — not the other way around.
Defined scope, fixed price
Each service has a listed price that applies to standard scope. Changes require your approval before work continues.
Timing machine verification
Every serviced movement is tested on a timing machine across multiple positions. Results go into the handover note.
Written condition record
A plain-language document returns with the watch, noting what was done, what was observed, and the post-service timing result.
Conservative by default
We preserve what is original unless you specify otherwise. Over-polishing, unnecessary replacements, and cosmetic changes beyond scope are not part of our process.
Secure handling throughout
Every watch is tagged and logged from drop-off to collection. It is stored securely and accounted for at each step.
In detail
Each benefit, explained
Practical Expertise
Our lead watchmaker has worked on mechanical movements for over fifteen years. That breadth covers a wide range of calibres — from straightforward three-hand automatics to more involved movements with complications. Experience matters most when something unexpected is found inside: knowing whether to proceed, pause, or decline further work is a judgment that takes years to develop.
- Hand-wound and automatic movements accepted
- Unusual or older calibres assessed on enquiry
- Referral offered if the work falls outside our scope
Correct Equipment
A timing machine measures rate deviation in seconds per day across crown-up, crown-down, dial-up, and dial-down positions. An ultrasonic cleaner removes contaminants from disassembled components before re-oiling. These are not optional extras — they are the baseline for work that will last through the next service interval.
- Multi-position timing machine used on every service
- Ultrasonic parts cleaning as standard
- Calibre-appropriate lubricants, not general-purpose oil
Communication
You are kept informed. After the initial assessment, we explain what we found and what we propose. If anything changes during the work, we contact you before proceeding. When the watch is collected, we walk through the condition note together so you understand what was done and what to expect going forward.
- Assessment findings communicated in plain language
- No scope changes without your agreement
- Handover includes time to review the condition note
Pricing
Service prices are published so you know the figure before you make contact. Lume and hands refresh from ฿3,600, case refinishing from ฿6,800, and complete mechanical service from ฿11,300. These apply to standard scope. If additional work is needed — a worn part, a damaged jewel — the cost is discussed and agreed before anything is done.
- Prices listed on our Solutions page before enquiry
- No additions without approval
- Invoiced in Thai Baht (฿)
Outcomes
A serviced movement should run steadily within a reasonable daily rate for its age and design. We note the timing figure observed at handover so you have a baseline to compare against in future. For case work, we discuss realistic expectations during assessment — surface finishing improves the appearance but cannot undo deep damage.
- Timing result noted in handover document
- Realistic cosmetic outcomes discussed before case work
- Coverage period on mechanical service labour

What sets us apart
Distinctive features of Lumecase
Lume Renewal with Dial Respect
We refresh luminous material in a way that improves legibility without overriding the dial's character. Aggressive lume application that changes the look of a vintage dial is not something we do by default — you would have to specifically request it.
Factory Pattern Case Finishing
We match brushed and polished surface zones to the original factory pattern. Over-polishing that removes brushed texture, or blending zones that should remain distinct, is one of the most common ways a case loses its value and appearance — we avoid it.
No Upsell After Drop-Off
Once the scope is agreed and you have dropped the watch off, we do the work that was agreed. We do not call mid-service to suggest additional services unless we find something that genuinely changes what is needed.
Honest Referrals
If a watch falls outside our competence — a very complex movement, a complication we have not worked on, or a piece requiring manufacturer-specific parts — we say so and, where possible, point you toward a more appropriate service provider.
